Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse Available for State of the Union Re-action

In a continuing effort to inform the community on the importance of enacting tort reform CALA representatives will be available to members of the media to comment on relevant sections of the State of the Union.

 

San Diego -  President Bush has been clear in the first weeks of this year that tort reform will be a priority in his second term, including medical liability reform based on the California model.  It is expected that the President will touch on this subject in depth in his State of the Union speech tonight. 

 

In a continuing effort to inform the community on the importance of enacting tort reform CALA representatives will be available to members of the media to comment on relevant sections of the State of the Union.

Andy Kotner has served as President of San Diego Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse for 6 years.  She is well versed on the affects of frivolous and abusive lawsuits in California.  Ms. Kotner has both statistical and anecdotal information on the negative impacts of such abuse.  She worked with numerous state and federal legislators as well as generated local and national media focus on civil justice reform issues.
