San
Diego, CA - Class
action lawyers have filed a lawsuit to stop the St. Patrick's Day
tradition of wearing green.
Thirteen
colors, including purple, turquoise and chartreuse have joined the suit,
making various claims.
The
Color Purple, despite having a
major motion picture named after it, has complained in the class action
suit, that it suffers tremendous emotional distress during the St.
Patrick's Day Holiday when most people prefer to wear green.
Turquoise
stated that each St. Patrick's Day he suffers from lack of consortium and,
of course, that makes him feel blue.
Chartreuse
felt that shady dealings overshadowed the St. Patrick's Day color
preference. Critics of the
lawsuit thought that chartreuse was just green with envy.
If
past results are any indication of financial gain, participants in this
litigation can expect the class action lawyers to collect several million
dollars, while the plaintiffs (members of the class) might receive coupons
for a 10% savings on their next box of crayons.
Interested
parties may call San Diego County Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (CALA)
at (619) 295-6059, for details about the suit.
"If you even thought this press
release was legitimate, even for an instant, you have been a victim of
lawsuit abuse by being desensitized because of the onslaught of litigation
in our society," said Andy Kotner, President of San Diego County
CALA.
San
Diego CALA is a non-profit, grassroots public education organization.
Its mission is to inform consumers about the costs of lawsuit abuse
and ensure the legal system is used for justice, not greed. San Diego
County CALA has more than 8,000 local supporters.
